May Rihani is an international pioneer on girls' education, reproductive health, and economic productivity, who has negotiated with the Taliban and community elders in conflict-torn countries to improve educational access for young people. Renowned for her ability to develop cross-cutting gender programs and innovative education projects, Ms. Rihani is a highly-sought after development expert. As a result of her international work, she was elected as the Co-Chair of the United Nations GIrls' Education Initiative (UNGEI), from 2008 to 2010.
