GC Students Tackle the Hard Issues in Globalization Course
Global Communities is committed to providing our students with an education that engages the world and its most pressing issues. As part of our BSGC 101 course on Globalization, students participate in an indepth negotiation simulation, representing the UN Expert Commission on Sustainable Globalization. Forming delegations that represent a specific UN country, students break off into sub-committees to debate proposals they developed to address a major issue related to environment, labor, trade, and foreign affairs. The proposals are voted on by all the country delegations to determine the Final Communiqué of the Expert Commission.
Our Molde UN Simulation is an opportunity for students to apply what they have learned about global issues and affairs throughtout the course. Through hands-on engagement, students sharpen their problem-solving and analytical skills, learn to work with a diverse team, and negotiation skills.
